1. How do I launch an architecture contest?
Log in to your dashboard and click “Launch a Contest”, then complete the project details.
Contests now run in two automated stages:
Stage 1 (Selection): Receive portfolios & mockups
Stage 2 (Execution): Shortlisted Specialists complete full project details
2. How do I determine the prize amount?
The prize can be adjusted based on the type and scale of your project.
Arxilab provides guidance to ensure a fair minimum value.
3. What platform fee is charged to Owners?
Arxilab charges a 10% platform fee based on the total prize amount.
Calculation:
Total Payment = Prize Amount + (10% × Prize Amount)
Example:
Prize: $300
Platform Fee: $30
Total: $330
This payment is made upfront to secure the prize and start Stage 1.
4. When do I pay for my contest?
Payment is required before the contest launches. After completion, Arxilab distributes prizes to the winning Specialists. Payments can be made via bank transfer, PayPal, or other available methods.
5. What is the ideal contest duration?
Stage 1: 3–7 days
Stage 2: 1–4 weeks (depending on complexity)
Ideal total duration: 2–5 weeks
6. Can I communicate with Specialists during the contest?
Yes. Each project includes a public discussion forum where Specialists can ask questions. All registered Specialists receive notifications for updates.
7. How do Specialists see my project?
Projects are announced via email, Instagram, and the Arxilab website. Specialists can view descriptions, images, prizes, and timelines.
8. What information should I provide?
Provide current data, clear objectives, images, sketches, and room dimensions whenever possible.
9. I don’t have blueprints. What should I do?
That’s fine. Basic dimensions or a simple hand sketch are sufficient.
10. How do I create a successful contest?
Write a clear project description
Specify design needs (style, color, concept)
Add visual references
Provide accurate dimensions
Set a fair and competitive prize
11. I don’t know which documents to request
Arxilab automatically provides default document requirements. You may add or remove documents as needed. Request only what is necessary.
12. Can I request additional interior design details?
Yes. You may request furniture lists, pricing, color schemes, and layout details in your project brief.
13. Should I provide a budget?
Providing a budget is recommended but not mandatory.
14. Do I need to disclose my project location?
Exact addresses are not required. Approximate locations are sufficient when climate or orientation matters.
15. Can I limit the number of Specialists?
Yes, through the two-stage system:
Stage 1: Open registration
Stage 2: Limited to shortlisted Specialists
16. Can Arxilab help if I struggle with measurements?
Yes. Contact our team after saving your project.
17. Should complex projects be split?
It depends. Independent elements (e.g., landscape) may be separated, while integrated designs can remain in one contest.
18. I’m unsure where to start

19. Few Specialists registered should I worry?
No. In Stage 1, Specialists mainly submit profiles and samples. Full work starts only in Stage 2.
20. Can I increase the prize after launch?
Yes. Use the “Add Prize” button anytime during the contest.
21. Can I invite specific Specialists?
Yes. Invited Specialists receive additional notifications, though all Specialists are still notified system-wide.
22. What are the benefits of the two-stage system?
It reduces risk and ensures you work only with Specialists who understand your vision.
23. Do I need to pay again for Stage 2?
No. The initial payment covers all contest stages.
